Házená

Házená, known as handball in English, is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and one goalkeeper) pass a ball to throw it into the opposing team’s goal to score points. It is played on a rectangular court, and the game is characterized by its fast pace and dynamic scoring opportunities. Players can use any part of their body above the knee to touch the ball, and they may dribble or pass it to teammates to set up scoring plays. The objective is to outscore the opponent within a set time frame, typically two 30-minute halves. Competitive házená is governed by the International Handball Federation (IHF) and is featured in various international competitions, including the Olympics and world championships. The sport emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and physical fitness.
